Within the walls of the Upper Town, Old Québec brings together the Château Frontenac, Dufferin Terrace, the Citadel and cobbled streets lined with stone houses, churches and restaurants.
The historic district has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. The fortifications, built by the French and then the British, still ring the Upper Town for about 4.6 km.
