At the tip of Kowloon, Tsim Sha Tsui faces the island’s skyline. A waterfront promenade, museums, historic hotels and shopping streets busy late into the night: the ideal starting point for exploring Kowloon.

The Avenue of Stars and the waterfront promenade give you the view for free, no booking needed.

When to go

At sunset, then for the harbour light show at 8 pm.

MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui or East Tsim Sha Tsui; Star Ferry from Central.

The story

How the neighbourhood came to be

The Clock Tower by the water is the last remnant of the old Kowloon station (1915), terminus of the railway from Canton. The district later filled with hotels and museums.
