KLCC is built around the Petronas Towers, their mall and a large park with fountains and a children’s pool. Come for the skybridge between the towers, the aquarium and the evening fountain show.

Good to know

The best photo of the towers is from the park, by the fountain, or from a neighbouring hotel’s rooftop.

When to go

In the evening, when the towers light up and the fountains dance.

The story

How the neighbourhood came to be

Built on the city’s former racecourse and completed in 1998, the Petronas Towers, designed by César Pelli, are inspired by Islamic geometric patterns. KLCC Park was designed by Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx.

Did you know?

1The skybridge links the two towers at the 41st and 42nd floors.
2The towers were the world’s tallest from 1998 to 2004.
