Casa de Campo is the largest public park in Madrid, covering over 1,535 hectares. Originally a royal hunting estate created under King Philip II, it was opened to the public in 1931. The park combines forested natural areas with recreational zones, including a lake with boat rentals, walking and cycling paths, as well as cafes and restaurants.
